Millwall Football Club could have signed Celtic's new star Kasper Hogh and RB Leipzig's Antonio Nusa years ago, according to experienced scout Bryan King. The former Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa scout revealed he recommended both players to the Lions but never received a response. Hogh, 25, has made an immediate impact at Celtic after an £11m move from Bodo/Glimt, scoring a hat-trick in just his second game. Nusa, 21, remains a target for Premier League champions Arsenal despite Leipzig's efforts to keep him. Millwall finished third in the Championship last season with 83 points, 12 behind leaders Coventry City. ## Who did Millwall miss out on? Kasper Hogh has burst onto the scene in Scotland, scoring three goals in his second Celtic appearance. The Danish forward joined from Bodo/Glimt for £11m, a deal King describes as a 'snip' in today's market. Antonio Nusa, meanwhile, has been linked with Arsenal but remains at Leipzig after signing in 2024. Both players were on King's recommendation list for Millwall four years ago. ## Why did the recommendations fail? King sent a list of players including Hogh and Nusa to Millwall but never heard back. He believes the club's scouting structure has changed since then. 'I just sent in a list of some players, and he was on that list, as was the boy Nusa, but I never got an answer back,' King told Football Insider. 'It's not the same people there now as there was when I sent that info on to him.' ## What does this mean for Millwall? The Lions finished third in the Championship last season, scoring 64 goals and conceding 49. With 24 wins, 11 draws and 11 losses, they were 12 points behind leaders Coventry. While Hogh and Nusa have moved on to bigger clubs, King's experience highlights the importance of scouting in Norway, an 'untapped market' for English clubs.
